PreKinder
ABOUT
PREKINDER
PreKinder
is a
slightly
more
structured
alternative
to
preschool
or day
care
where
children
learn
through
fun,
basic
principles
to
prepare
them for
their
first
year of
school.
It is an
excellent
transition
into
school,
and most
importantly
it’s
great
fun!
The
PreKinder
program
has been
developed
so that
it is
responsive
to each
child’s
needs,
interests
and
developmental
levels.
The
curriculum
has been
designed
to
develop
children’s
knowledge
and
skills
in all
developmental
areas –
physical,
social,
emotional
and
intellectual
– and to
encourage
children
to have
a life
long
love for
learning.
Music,
movement,
gross
motor
programs,
computers,
library
and
theme
work are
included
in the
program.
PREKINDER
OVERVIEW
The
program
is
planned

the

experiences
where
the

to learn
and
express
themselves
through
language,
music,

Literacy
and
numeracy
are
important
growth

and
these

varied
and
stimulating
‘hands-on’
