Senior School

Clarence Valley Anglican School Curriculum is divided into three stages: Stage 4 (Years 7 & 8), Stage 5 (Years 9 & 10) and Stage 6 (Years 11 & 12). The teachers of each stage are available for advice on academic issues and can provide appropriate information to assist students in making elective decisions and monitoring their progress.

The Director of Curriculum is Mr Tim Grosser.

The Principal and the Director of Curriculum are available for consultation regarding elective decisions, tertiary entrance and career related queries.

The Director of Curriculum must be consulted whenever a student wishes to make variations to his or her studies.

The CVAS curriculum continues to expand and is designed for a diversity of students and their needs. CVAS offers courses in English, Mathematics, Biology, Drama, PDHPE, Modern History, Geography, Chemistry, Music, Legal Studies, Economics, Physics, Visual Arts, Agriculture Technology, Agriculture, Industrial Technology, Design Technology, Food Technology and Business Studies.

Students are able to undertake courses through Distance Education and TAFE in areas such as Information Technology, Tourism and Hospitality.

The NSW Board of Studies mandates a minimum of two units of English as the only compulsory subject in Year 11 and 12. Additional subjects are chosen from the remaining list offered by this school.
